This subprogram will be implemented by which is now part of the College of Agriculture Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine (UR-CAVM) and Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).

The CAVM incorporated the former NUR Faculty of Agriculture in the merger. As planned the sub-programme will develop the curriculum for three new Master’s programmes and will revise two existing ones.

The three new Master’s programmes, which were to start in September 2014, are now planned to be launched in September 2015, due to delays in development of curricula and approval of quality assurance, but also to have enough time to plan and anchor the programmes within the new UR context. The development of the three PhD programmes and accreditation will be completed by 2016 but the planned to start at UR by 2016 will be deferred to the next agreement after 2018.

The sub-programme plans to recruit two more PhD candidates at SLU in addition to the enrolled 5 PhD students and initiate activities that will strengthen the research environment at the college of agriculture, mainly related to equipping a “PhD Students” office, replacement of lab equipment supervision mentorship of CAVM Staff by SLU, organisation of seminars and some collaborative research between SLU and CAVM staff.
